Winter Race Series 2016

I hear there is snow forecast for this weekend, which reminded me this morning to tell you guys all about the Cancer Research UK Winter Run Series which is returning to London for 2012 bigger and better than last years inaugural event which was pretty damn awesome if you ask me.

LondonRoute211015x950The 10K flat route passes some of the most iconic landmarks of the city with a whole heap of winter themed surprises including a snowblast off, polar bear hugs (seriously these were great) and a snow zone.

But what if London is just too far for you to travel?

Following the success of London last year which saw 15,000 runners take part, Cancer Research have expanded this event with winter themed races now taking place in

Edinburgh
Liverpool
Manchester
Plymouth
Southampton
Stoke

WRS15Whitex483So if you are in the UK you really have no excuse.

Why wait for the warmer months to get stuck into your training, these events should keep you motivated over the Xmas period and are a great way of raising money for pioneering research into the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of cancer which helps save millions of lives.

As an ambassador for Race for Life I know just how important this work is.

Clive Sanders who is head of events at Cancer Research UK said,

Fundraising events like The Winter Run Series are vital for raising life-saving funds to help beat cancer sooner and uniting men and women of all ages and abilities in the fight against the disease.

I will be doing the London event on the 31st January along with a group of ladies from The Clubhouse, so why not join us? Visit www.winterrunseries.co.uk for registration and more information
