In May 2016 we held our first Too Fat to Run health and happiness retreat on the beautiful greek island of Rhodes with a small group of ladies from our community. I have never had a more fulfilling 7 days in my life, nor laughed or cried as much.

So it gives me great pleasure to announce that….

In Falaraki, from Saturday 13th – 20th May 2017 we have an even bigger and better programme planned for our incredible Too Fat to Run retreat ladies, and after listened to all the feedback we got about costs last year, we are offering a much more affordable (yet incredibly value packed) week long retreat.

So tell me about the retreat location?

We will have the exclusive use of The Rose Hotel with 18 pool facing rooms consist of 2 or 3 single beds for sole or shared use. These beautifully renovated rooms are spacious and all have private balcony or patios looking out onto the pool and the countryside beyond as well as a small refrigerator and tea/coffee making facilities. The en-suite bathrooms have a shower and WC.

The hotel is located in a quiet area of the region and is surrounded by countryside…so there will be no clubbing or pole dancing ha ha, yet we are just a short walk from the sandy beach and the resorts centre. The hotel’s large swimming pool is exclusively for the use of our guests and there are plenty of sun loungers and shady areas for down time and relaxation.

But what about the programme? What will we be getting you to do?

This is not a weight loss bootcamp, although last year most of our women lost weight and gained all sorts of other fab benefits.

There will be exercise throughout the week, lots of running, morning yoga, water activities etc, but there will also be some more creative activities that won’t even feel like you are exercising.

We will once again be working with the fabulous weight loss hypnotherapist Donna Kenny doing daily group hypno and sessions exploring mindset around nutrition and lifestyle behaviours, and you will get the chance to think about and set Big Fat Stupid Goals with Julie before you come home.

We have a range of greek inspired activities and excursions too….so this will feel like a holiday too.

It is really difficult to describe the magic that happens at this retreat, the friendships that are formed, the shifts that occur throughout the week. The main aim we have is to create a safe space to explore the issues which hold you back from being the best version of yourself, and the practical skills needed to get you there.

What kind of fitness do I need?

All we ask is that you are mobile and can walk 5K, being able to run is not a requirement. All levels will be catered for.

Flights must be paid for separately, and we can advise on the cheapest and best times from a range of UK airports

The price illustrated includes accommodation, food (except 2 lunches), all coaching, group hypno sessions, a full fitness, programme, excursions and a TFTR goody bag

Don’t worry about coming on your own, none of the ladies knew each other last year, and many of them are now great friends, traveling up and down the country to visit each other for races and social occasions. We will pair you up with someone fabulous and at the same fitness level as you…so you can moan about the same aches and pains ha ha

OK I want to come, now what?

To secure your space we require just a £200 deposit and the balance must be paid in full by 31st January. There is a discount for paying in full before 1st October. Please note this deposit is non refundable.

After we receive your deposit you will get an email from Sharon our admin person who will take some further details from you, including what kind of room you require and answer any questions you might have.
