Join us for the 2018 Too Fat to Run Health & Happiness Retreat in Rhodes Greece.
7 days of fitness, food and fun with sole use of a lovely family hotel with its own pool and gardens, freshly prepared Mediterranean food, a full programme of fitness, mindset, kinesiology and goal setting sessions, plus a number of lovely day trips so you come back home feeling 100% refreshed.
This year we have Kinesiologist and Homeopath Kerri Williams, and Personal Trainer and Endurance Athlete Sophie Sanderson with us for the whole week, plus guest visiting experts based on the island including a yoga instructor, zumba teacher, nutritionist and physiotherapist.

But how about throwing in some mindset coaching, kinesiology, nutrition sessions and of course a range of fitness workshops as part of a fun packed Too Fat to Run week to make this the most powerful life changing experience…EVER??
Unlike other bootcamps or health retreats this one really is catered for and designed for you. We know what you want from a break, and it sure as hell isn’t 6am wakeup calls with a whistle, or colonic sessions and a food plan that resembles pet food.
This week is about fitness, fun and friendships and an opportunity for you to recharge and rethink your life
What kind of women will be coming?
There will be a range of women from our community, but we believe most women will fall into these categories
35 – 65 years of age
Overweight or inactive
A mix of professional women, mums and retired ladies
Some experience of running or fitness…no matter how lapsed
Women ready for change
Where will we be staying?
We have exclusive use of The Rose (which is my daughters name) hotel in Falaraki in Rhodes, but don’t worry about it’s reputation as a party town, I can guarantee we are in a lovely secluded part of town where there will be no temptation to go out clubbing…although we might schedule an optional pole dancing session for anyone interested.
The 18 pool facing rooms consist of 2 single beds for sole or shared use. These beautifully renovated rooms are spacious and all have private balcony or patio looking out onto the pool and the countryside beyond as well as a small refridgerator and tea/coffee making facilities. The en-suite bathrooms have a shower and WC.
The hotel is located in a quiet area and is surrounded by countryside. We are just a short walk from the sandy beach and the resort centre. The hotel’s large swimming pool is exclusively for the use of our guests and there are plenty of sun loungers and shady areas for down time and relaxation.
Our Mediterranean meals will be prepared at the hotel using fresh, local produce and are included in the price of the week, all assessed and approved by our fully qualifies nutritionist. Bottled water, ample fresh, seasonal fruit and nuts will also be on offer.
Now the all important bit…the price
There are two main options
£1299 sharing in a twin room (We can organise pairing you up with someone or you can bring a friend)
£1699 for sole use of a twin room
A non refundable deposit of £299 must be paid to secure your place, and full payment must be made via bank transfer by 30th November unless otherwise agreed.
If cash flow is an issue, a payment plan to cover the remainder after this initial deposit (split into 4 monthly payments) can also be arranged although there is a slight processing fee added to this to cover PayPal fees.
The latest you can sign up using the Payment Plan is end of December.
So what is included?
This includes 7 nights accommodation in a 3 star family hotel which we have sole use of (including our own pool), all meals and snacks at the hotel as well as unlimited bottled mineral water, one night out at a local taverna (there will even be wine!) plus all transfers and excursions…but actually lets be frank here what you are really paying for ladies is the stuff you don’t normally get on a short break to the med…the first class running coaching, fitness sessions and mindset workshops, plus optional 121s with Julie and some of the visiting coaches.
Flights are additional, we have suggested flights from London & Manchester which arrive on Saturday evening. Flights from London are currently less than £200 return, so the sooner you book your flights the cheaper they will be.
The retreat starts first thing on Sunday morning
What isn’t included in the price?
- Lunches on the days that we are off site (2 days)
- Air Conditioning if required (I have never needed it)
- Optional 121 sessions with the Kinesiologist (these are limited and will be offered with a massive discount)
- Entrance to Lindos Attractions (Roughly 8 Euros)
- Spending money for gifts
Julie Creffield – Plus Size Marathon Runner, Author and Life Coach – CEO and Founder of Too Fat to Run Julie, is the lead coach on the retreat, she will deliver all the running related training sessions to help build your confidence and strength as a runner. She will also lead inspiring goal setting sessions based on her Living A Bigger Life framework.
Sophie Sanderson – Personal Trainer and Founder of Fitology – Sophie will lead a range of tailored High Intensity Training Sessions throughout the week including water based sessions in the pool.
Keri Williams – Kinesiologist and Homeopathy Practitioner – Keri will share with us the power of kinesiology and lead group sessions around coping with emotions to food. She will also offer 121 kinesiology sessions for those who want them
Elizabeth Cass Konti – Retreat Host – This is the wonderful woman without whom the retreat simply couldn’t go ahead. Long distance runner Cass is the lady who makes everything run smoothly with her local knowledge of the island, and impeccable greek language skills. She will (with the help of her adorable teenage daughters) make sure you get picked up from the airport, checked into your room and then looked after throughout your stay. If you are lucky she will also give you a plotted history of Rhodes during our coach trip to Lindos…which is one of the highlights of the week.
We also have wonderful guest experts throughout the week, including yoga and zumba instructors, a nutritionist and a physio…everything and everyone you could possibly need to get the most out of your trip.
If you cancel your retreat within three weeks of departure, we are sorry but we cannot offer a refund, we recommend that you get travel insurance that will cover you for this kind of eventuality.
If you cancel anything up to three weeks prior to departure you are eligible for a refund of 50% of the full price, minus the £299 deposit. However, as our retreats are often fully subscribed, if we can give your place to another customer who was on our waiting list, even within the 3 week period, we will endeavour to do so, and give you a refund minus the original deposit.
It is a requirement of booking to get travel insurance, which will cover you for cancellations, as we cannot waive our cancellation policy or be liable for loss of your holiday in the event that you are unable to travel to the retreat.
