So my last post was back in August, when I disclosed the news that I was pregnant.
My last running experience was a short 3 miles which left me dizzy and out of breath, which considering I had ran the London Marathon a few weeks before was very odd, so odd I guessed that something was up…hence a pregnancy test!!
Anyway…I spent a miserable 8 months not running. Watching other runners with envy, missing my running club buddies and my weekend parkruns 🙁
On a more positive note I have a beautiful baby girl – Rose, who was born on the 15th January weighing in at 9lbs 3 – and is definately keeping me on my toes!!
My pre pregnancy fitness really paid off when it came to carrying and delivering my package and ensuring that I didn’t put on too much weight (despite the amount of cake I consumed)
So now I am ready to resume my running to some degree – the question is, will I ever get back to my fitness level.
I plan to go out for a run next week, and to go back to park run and my running club after my 6 week check up. Just hope I manage to fit it in around Rose!!
