So I didn’t quite make Parkrun at the weekend, mainly cos I was knackered after a difficult night with my little Rose.

But also cos I am a little scared of donning my running shoes again. I am over 2 and a half stone heavier than I was when I last run, and carting that amount of extra weight (and my milk filled knockers) around is gonna hurt.

So I have opted for plan B.

I have joined Weightwatchers. Now I have been a WW member on and off for the last 15 years with reasonable success. For me it makes quite good sense, less calories in and more exercise. In fact just tracking what I eat and knowing I am bring weighed by someone else is a great motivator.

So my new regime starts tomorrow…and maybe just maybe I may try a bit of a jog one day this week.

I have charged my Garmin just in case.
