Come on ladies let’s face it, once Halloween is out of the way, all eyes turn to Christmas, don’t they?
And whether we like it or not it has an impact on our health and happiness.
Some people love the festive countdown, but many of us hate it.
- Family politics
- Difficult logistics
- The expense
- The realisation that another year has come and gone
It can be tough.
But it doesn’t have to be all doom and gloom, you don’t have to go through it alone.
In 2014 I set up the Countdown to Christmas Challenge…it was supposed to be a fun way to get some of my online supporters working together to stay fit over the festive period.
I think there were around 40 women who took part in the first year, in the 3 years since we have had close to 800 women take part…and we have an absolute blast.
So what is The Countdown to Christmas Challenge?
- 31 days of festive fitness fun
- £1000+ of prizes
- Silly shenanigans
Each year the challenge is very different, depending on who we have in the group.
The programme started off being all structured with an email every day with a simple challenge related to fitness, food or fun, but over time the programme has evolved and there is now a weekly coaching email plus daily posts in the Facebook group.
What I never imagined happening though was the “Elfish Takeover” that happened a couple of years ago…in fact I can trace it back to a certain lady back in 2015 that was so determined to do her daily squat allocation that she did them in the middle of a packed commuter train and took a photo for evidence.
Last year we had over 50+ video update of elves doing fitness out and about…and heaps of photos of women doing the same too…women who told me they would never have imagined doing such silliness before the programme.
One of my Clubhouse ladies doing lat raises with two bottles of Baileys in Sainsburys was a highlight last year.
So you really should join.
This programme is for women of all shapes and sizes, all backgrounds, all fitness levels.
We will have women in there who are training for a marathon, women who have done no exercise all year, and everything in between.
It is a great way to get involved in the Too Fat to Run movement and to get to know me as a coach.
This year I will be including a weekly “Dream with Julie” live update which will be about how you get clear on what you want not only for Xmas but for 2019 too.
Oh and let’s talk about the prizes….I am still confirming all of the brands involved but last year we had
- Race Places
- Bluetooth Headphones
- Sports Kit
- Fancy food
- Coaching Programmes
- Signed Books
- And much much more.
So whos in?
The price is just £25 or £20 if you act quick, the discounted earlybird price ends today.
We have 70 women signed up so far.
Oh…and while I have your attention. I am hosting a special Too Fat to Run Christmas party in East London on Friday 7th December if any of you can make it. I’d love to meet you and raise a glass to next year.
