Fatty CAN’T run for a while

So as you all know back in April I ran the London Marathon, in just under 6 hours I may add.

Well about a week later I went out for a short run, just to my local Tesco’s (about 17 minutes away) I felt fine, if a bit stiff, but once I got in the store I came over all funny and thought I was going to faint – my partner had to come and get me. That was my first clue and it didn’t take long to work out the rest.

I am expecting…well a baby hopefully, perhaps a future runner even!!

That was in fact the last run that I went for, and although I know you can run whilst pregnant, for me it didn’t feel right – knowing I had already run 26.2 miles around London with my secret package on board I didn’t want to push my luck.

I am now 20 weeks, and apart from a bit of yoga and swimming my fitness regime is somewhat redundant…and the pounds are gradually piling on. But do you know what…I don’t care because I know it’s what my body needs right now and my running days are not over they are just on hold.

I must admit though, I am missing my running, especially my weekly club runs and weekend park runs, so would like to say a quick hello to my East London Runner colleagues…I’ll be back…hopefully at some point in March or April

So now you know the reason for my sudden radio silence
