Well…there’s a tube strike in London today, perfect excuse to cycle into work I hear you say, only problem being my legs hurt like hell. Not just a little muscle soreness, I think the technical term is Delayed Onset of Muscle Soreness…and it never fails to impress me. Just when you think the pain is subsiding you wake up the next day and it’s back with a vengeance.

Walking up stairs is excruciating, walking down is even worse…even climbing the kerb hurts. Which is why I ended up sitting on a bus for over an hour in the same spot on the way to work, rather than getting off and walking.

I wanted to do some exercise today but don’t know how I could with the state my quads are in, so instead I did nothing. This seems to be a bit of an ongoing problem for me…I want to do more, but if I listen to my body it tells me “don’t do it”

Maybe tomorrow hey?

    My old friend DOMS has been with me since the marathon. Just when I thought they’d gone off my calf has cramped & balled up causing even more pain & limping. 🙁
